Russia became the leader in tourist flow to the Dominican Republic among European countries

The Russian tourist flow to the Dominican Republic in September exceeded the volumes of the pre-pandemic 2019. Moreover, Russia has shown the best figures in terms of tourist flow among all European countries.

In September 2021, 22 092 Russian tourists arrived in the Dominican Republic. Totally, 31 674 Russians visited the country from January to September.

September 2021 turned out to be more successful for the Russian market in the Dominican Republic than the same period in 2019, when the country was visited by 14 802 tourists from Russia. At that time, three tour operators - Anex Tour, Pegas Touristik and Coral Travel - worked on the destination as now, but the geography of flights was smaller.

This year, tour operators arranged a wide charter program from the regions, including Ufa, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, as well as from Rostov-on-Don (for the first time).

In general, based on the data of current bookings, the Dominican Republic will become one of the leaders in demand among Russians for the winter season. In terms of current sales of foreign destinations, this Caribbean country is in the TOP-3.

Recently, the Federal Air Transport Agency issued new permits for charter flights to the Dominican Republic. So, Royal Flight airline could operate flights to Punta Cana from Samara, Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Ufa.
