Royal Flight airline received permission for charter flights from Moscow to Cuba. The corresponding decision was published on the website of the Federal Air Transport Agency.
In particular, the carrier will be able to fly to Holguin and Varadero from the capital of Russia from March 29 to October 24. However, to Santa Clara the airline will operate only five flights: on April 20 and 29, and May 10, 20, and 31.
Note that Royal Flight became interested in the program to Cuba last year. Naturally, the flight program was built taking into account the interests of the strategic partner of the airline - Coral Travel tour operator. At the same time, three new Boeing 777-300ER will be operated on the route. The boards, in particular, are involved in the transportation of tourists to the Dominican Republic.
According to observers, in addition to Royal Flight, Pegas Touristik also launches charters to Cuba. For example, last year Ikar and Nordwind airlines received permission to fly in the summer season from Moscow to the airports of Varadero, Cayo Coco, Camaguey, Holguin and Santa Clara (Cuba). Also, it is possible that Tui Russia has own plans for the spring-summer season of 2020. Finally, Aeroflot also sends regular flights to Havana.
Experts are sure that in the current situation a transportation surplus may occur in the destination, which will result in either dumping and lower prices of tours, or the removal of part of flights.
