Overall results: more than 4,7 million Russians visited Antalya for 9 months

For the first 9 months of 2019 the Russian tourist flow to Antalya increased by 15% in annual terms. This year every third holidaymaker on the Antalya beaches was from Russia. 
According to the data of airports of Antalya and Gazipasa, from January to September 2019, more than 13 million foreign tourists visited the tourist province – 12,5 million people arrived through Antalya Airport and a little more than half a million through Gazipasa Airport. 
In comparison with the same period of 2018, 16% more foreign guests had a holiday at the resorts of Antalya. The Russians are beyond competition: for 9 months 4 752 660 of them have visited Antalya. This is 15% more than for the same period of 2018. 
The share of the Russian market in the total incoming flow of the tourist province is almost 37%. The second source market is Germany, which showed a result of 2 million tourists, the third is Ukraine (726 thousand). The TOP-5 also includes the United Kingdom (623 thousand) and Poland (487 thousand). 
In total, the tourist flow from Russia exceeded the total number of tourists from 4 countries, which are in the TOP-5 (these are Germany, Ukraine, Great Britain and Poland). 
According to the forecasts of the Antalya authorities, this year the resort will host 16 million foreign tourists. For comparison: about 4 million people visited St. Petersburg in 2018, and about 12 million foreign tourists visited Egypt.
