More than 2 million tourists visited the Crimea from the beginning of the year
“More than 2 million tourists visited the Crimea since the beginning of 2018, the tourist flow to the peninsula is more than a third higher than the figures for the same period in 2017”, - said the Head of the region Sergey Aksenov.
"The tourist flow to Crimea grew by more than a third against the last year and exceeded 2 million people and this sharp growth is connected, of course, primarily with opening of the Crimean bridge", - S.Aksenov wrote on his Facebook page.
According to him, at present time the average load of accommodation facilities, including hotels, heals resorts, boarding houses, camp sites and children's camps, exceeds 70%, which is 15% more than in 2017.
"We expect that after opening the railway section of the bridge the flow of tourists will continue to grow, and now the main task is to prepare the resort infrastructure for such large-scale changes", - the Head of the republic wrote.
The Minister of resorts and tourism of the Republic Vadim Volchenko said earlier that of the number of tourists who visited the Crimea in the first six months of this year, 37% arrived by air transport, 35% came on the Crimean bridge.
