More than 120 thousand foreigners visited Russia using an e-visa

The number of foreign citizens who visited Russia since August 1 exceeded 120 thousand people.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the popularity of digital solutions in the migration field is growing. There is also a noticeable growing demand for an electronic visa among foreign citizens to visit Russia.

On August 1, citizens of 55 countries were able to enter Russia using an electronic visa. Nowadays, the issuance period is no more than four days, personal presence is not necessary.

This visa format allows foreign citizens of 55 countries to visit Russia for tourism purposes, or made a guest or business visit, as well as to participate in socio-political, economic, scientific, cultural and sports events. Stay in the Russian Federation is allowed for a period of 16 days. The document is valid for 60 days from the date of issue.
