Montenegro did not loose Russian tourists in 2015
The number of Russian tourists visiting Montenegro from January to July 2015, grew up by 20% compared with the same period of the last year, the press department of the tour operator TUI Russia reported.
According to Xenia Mazurova, the analyst of TUI Russia, Montenegro demonstrates the positive trend in sales against a general decline in demand for European destinations. Montenegro share of total sales of tour operator TUI Russia increased by 3-5% compared to 2014.
The company explaines the success of Montenegro as tourism destination by the fact that this is one of the most affordable destinations in the Mediterranean. The average check is 766 euros per person, which is 13% lower than in the last year. In addition, Russians do not need a visa to travel to Montenegro. An additional advantage was the fact that resorts are well-developed and have Russian-speaking staff, and local hoteliers are interested in keeping tourist flow from Russia. Popular hotels offer all types of meal plans, from "bed&breakfast" to "all-inclusive".
The average duration of the tour to Montenegro compared to the previous year remained unchanged at 10 days. Most clients prefer to buy tour packages on average 48 days prior to departure. The depth of sales compared to the last year increased by 27%, while in other European destinations decreased by 8%, according to statistics of TUI Russia.
