In 2022 tourist flow from Russia to the Seychelles remained almost at the level of the last year's record

According to the National Bureau of Statistics of the Seychelles, 30 573 visits of Russian citizens were registered in this country in 2022, which is only slightly less than the 2021 record.

Moreover, every tenth visitor was a return tourist. Russia became third in the list of top source markets for the Seychelles, behind only France and Germany. Foreigners made 332 068 visits to the Seychelles in 2022.

The TOP-5 entry markets of the Seychelles in 2022 included Germany (44 626 trips), France (44 393 visits), Russia (30 573 visits), Italy (18 394) and the UAE (16 918).

The number of Russian arrivals to the islands turned out to be less than the record results of 2021 (31 392 visits) by only 2,4%.

It should be noted that the result of 2022, due to the presence of direct flights from the Russian Federation, is much higher than before the pandemic: the largest number of arrivals of Russians to the Seychelles until 2021 was recorded in 2014 (14 800 people). 106% more Russians came to the islands in 2022 compared to this pre-pandemic record,

As per the statistics office of the Seychelles, 10% of the Russians who arrived on the islands spent holidays here at least once. Only Germany (16%) and South Africa (12%) have indicators higher.

Since 2022, direct Aeroflot flights fly to the Seychelles from Moscow. There are no covid restrictions for entering the country.
