For nine months foreign tourist flow in Russia increased by 10%

According to the statistics from the Border Service of the FSB of the Russian Federation, almost 4,3 million foreign tourists visited Russia from January to September 2019, which is 10,2% more than the same period a year earlier. 
Most of all travelers came from China: the tourist flow from China over three quarters grew by 22% and amounted to 1,29 million people. The leaders are also Germany (464,6 thousand arrivals, an increase of 17,3% compared with the same period last year) and South Korea (341,4 thousand arrivals, plus 23,7%). 
The TOP-10 also includes the United States (222,8 thousand), Israel (160,4 thousand), Italy (135 thousand), France (129,5 thousand), Great Britain (119,9 thousand), Spain ( 102,9 thousand) and Japan (67,4 thousand). 
The second ten includes India (63,7 thousand), Finland (53,6 thousand), Australia (47,4 thousand), Thailand (43,5 thousand), Canada (42,6 thousand), as well as Latvia, Turkey, Lithuania, Estonia and Kazakhstan. 
It was previously reported that 25,7 million foreign citizens visited Russia over three quarters of 2019 with various purposes, which is 200 thousand or 0.8% more than the same period a year earlier.
