Russian tourists helped Cyprus to set a tourist flow’s record in September - tourists from Russia and Israel have increased the tourist flow in the destination up to 525 thousand visitors. This is 0,9% more than last year. And in general, this is the highest volume of tourist arrivals for this month ever recorded in Cyprus, despite the fact that Thomas Cook collapsed. At the same time, for nine months tourist flow increased by 0,6% up to 3,26 million visitors - against 3,23 million in the same period of 2018.
From Russia in September, the tourist flow increased by 2,9% on a year-on-year basis, and from Israel - by 12%. At the same time, the British market fell by 2,9% and the German one - by more than 25%. The UK market remained as the main source of tourism for Cyprus in September with a total share of 32,3%, followed by Russia with 22,8% of the total number of arrivals, Israel - 6,9% and Sweden - 4,1%. Cheap prices for tours to Cyprus begin since November 4 - a week-long holiday for two persons with a flight, accommodation and meals costs from 45 947 Rubles (646 Euros).
