Cuba entered the TOP-10 best-selling winter destinations among tour operators

Despite the high cost of tours, Cuba is among the TOP-10 best-selling destinations among tour operators. This result is due to the availability of direct flights, reports the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RST).

“Cuba is now in the 7 place in the TOP-10 winter destinations,” the message says, citing the press service of the tour operator Fun&Sun.

The company clarified that the cost of a vacation in Cuba in dollar terms has not changed much since last year; the price is only affected by the weakening of the ruble. The average sales depth is 51 days.

As Fun&Sun noted, the loading of flights is good, especially for the New Year.

The tour operator's flight program to Cuba is based on block transportation of Conviasa airlines from Moscow to Havana. Tours from Moscow to Varadero are also sold on Rossiya flights. There are also GDS tours from St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Yekaterinburg to Varadero with a change in Moscow. From December 30, the airline will operate direct flights to Havana from Moscow twice a week.

According to Anna Filatovskaya, director of the advertising and PR department of the company Russian Express, demand for Cuba in this autumn-winter season has increased compared last year, including due to the lack of direct flights to popular neighboring countries - the Dominican Republic and Mexico.

Tez Tour also notes remarkable demand for Cuba for the next two months and the New Year. Budget and mid-price hotels are most popular in the destination.
