Charters tours to Mexico are in high demand

Over January-June 2018, Mexico has noted two-fold increase in the tourist flow from Russia: charters have returned to the direction. In this winter season the volume of charter flights to Mexico will grow. The peak of Russian tourist arrivals in Mexico was in 2013 (100.6 thousand tourists), in 2014 77.5 thousand Russian citizens arrived in the country. The flow was provided with charter programs. The next two years showed a significant decline in the Russian tourist flow to this country - both because of the economic crisis in Russia and because of cancellation of the direct charter flights of Transaero to Mexico in connection with the bankruptcy of the airline. The growth of tourist traffic to Mexico began only in 2017, when in the winter season 2017/2018 a few Russian tour operators launched direct charters to Cancun. Market players were satisfied with the results of Mexican programs – the flights had a 100% of loading. Official Mexican statistics say that between January and June 2018, 25,632 Russian citizens visited Mexico, which is 108% more than in the same period last year (12,306 Russian citizens). Most of them arrived in the country via the international airport of Cancun. According to Mexican statistics, in the first half of 2018 Russia has already shown the highest growth rates among the TOP-25 of key incoming markets in Mexico. In the winter season 2018-2019, PEGAS Touristik (flies to Mexico all year round) and ANEX Tour operators will continue their charter programs on Mexican direction. According to PEGAS Touristik company, in the winter season 2018-2019 the tour operator performs one charter chain to Cancun (3 flights per month). The tours are of 10, 11 and 21 nights. PEGAS Touristik flies from Sheremetyevo to Cancun with Nordwind airline by Boeing 777-300. The tour operator has its own blocks of seats, there are no blocks of other companies on the boards. At the same time PEGAS increases its volume in Mexico. Together, two tour operators from the end of October can perform up to 11 flights to Cancun per month In the upcoming winter season the tours to Mexico of ANEX Tour operator are formed on the basis of the charter flights of AZUR AIR airline. The program starts from October 23, 2018 from Moscow to Cancun. The flights with the boards of Boeing777-300 ER will be performed 2 times a week. The tour operator plans to fully load the airplanes itself and does not provide blocks to other companies.
