Today a global failure in the operation of Windows devices led to flight cancellations, problems in the work of banks and the media around the world. Major American airlines, including American Airlines, Delta and United Airlines, announced the cancellation of flights due to communication problems.

Airports in Russia are operating normally, flights are carried out according to schedule, the Federal Air Transport Agency reported at 11:00 Moscow time.

Red Wings added that Russian airlines have long switched to the domestic booking system, so the global failure did not affect them. Airports also started using Russian software and import-substituting solutions earlier, which helped them now avoid a large-scale technical failure.

Flights of Russian and foreign airlines depart and arrive at Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Pulkovo according to the schedule. Residents of most CIS countries have also passed the problem with technical devices. According to TASS, there are no disruptions in the operation of airports, communications, banking and other applications in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

Delays in flights bound for Europe have been recorded in Armenia and Moldova. Flights to Venice and Paris are delayed at Yerevan Airport. There are no problems with flights to Turkey and the Middle East.

It is not yet known about any failures in the operation of Microsoft in Russia. In March 2023, Microsoft announced the blocking of access to its cloud services in Russia.
