Almost 2 million Russians spent holidays in Antalya in summer and early September

According to Antalya Airport, in January - September (from January 1 to September 19, 2021), a total of 33 946 international flights landed in Antalya, transporting 6 082 276 foreign tourists.

Of this number of arrivals for the period from 01.01- 19.09.2021, 2 275 929 passengers arrived from the Russian Federation on 9 509 flights, and 1 013 719 passengers on 6 582 flights arrived from Germany. The share of Russia in the foreign tourist flow in Antalya is 37,41%, and the share of Germany is 16,67%.

Based on the above figures, experts can understand how many Russians spent holidays in Antalya since the restoration of air traffic (June 21).

From January 1 to June 30, Antalya airport accepted 406 562 thousand Russian tourists, 125 thousand of them entered in the first 9 days after the opening of flights (June 21-30). Consequently, from June 21 to September 19, almost 2 million (1 994 367) tourists from the Russian Federation arrived at the Antalya resorts.

According to the aggregated data of tour operators, now in Russia there is a very active demand for Antalya resorts with arrivals in October. The peak of October arrivals will be at the very end of the month.
