After the cancelation of restrictions, every fifth Russian plans a foreign tour
This follows from a study made by Ipsos Adapt, in which residents of cities with million-plus inhabitants of Russia aged 18-65 were interviewed. The data was collected between May 18-20, 2020.
According to the eighth wave of Ipsos weekly research, after cancelation of the restrictions in the next six months 36% of respondents plan to make tourist trips around Russia, 20% - abroad.
Half of the respondents said they were not ready to go on a trip in Russia in the next six months. And 68% of respondents will not be ready to go abroad during this period. At the same time, 15% still find it difficult to answer questions about domestic and foreign travel,
It is interesting, men, speaking of plans to travel in the next six months after lifting the restrictions due to the pandemic, expressed a greater willingness to make it. So, 40% of them are ready to travel in Russia and 23% - abroad. Among women, the answers were distributed differently: 32 (Russia) and 17% (foreign tour).
“Thus, when thinking about travel plans, women show more caution and showed a greater propensity for self-isolation,” says the Ipsos study.
43% of residents of cities aged 18-65 are ready to return to their previous life standarts immediately after lifting the restrictions, and only 7% say that they will not return to most of their old habits.
