Vietnam expects the growth of Russian tourist flow by 20%
As the tour operators say, who have their own charter programs to Vietnam, despite fluctuations of the exchange rate in August-September, the destination shows good volumes and depth of sales during early booking program for upcoming winter season. So, according to Marina Makarkova, the head of the PR department of Coral Travel tour operator, the early booking sales have increased by about 60% compared to the last year. ANEX Tour also reports: "The demand is sufficient, the depth of booking reaches the end of February 2019". Liliya Parfenova, the sales director of the Moscow region of PEGAS Touristik, also says that, in comparison with the previous season "bookings go even with more depth of sales". According to market participants, with ruble stabilization in the upcoming winter season, Vietnam can show growth of up to 20%. "We expect increasing of sales by at least 15-20% compared to last season, but we hope for even greater growth," Liliya Parfenova says. The cost of living in currency in comparison with the previous season has not changed much. But in ruble equivalent, of course, it has increased due to the growth of dollar. Thus, it is the currency that can either "knock down" the demand for Vietnam, or increase it. According to Coral Travel, now the average cost of a trip to Vietnam compared to last year in currency has even decreased, the tours have become cheaper by about 100-150 dollars. Charter players could maintain a high rate of sales not only due to charter flights and wide regional coverage, but also due to a broad hotel base and the availability of exclusives. For example, PEGAS Touristik in this winter season offers tours to 223 hotels, of which 13 are exclusive ones, including hotel chains on all-inclusive system like Dessole Beach Resort - Mui Ne 4 + *, Dessole Beach Resort - Nha Trang 4 + * and Swandor Hotels & Resorts Cam Ranh 5*. ANEX Tour also has a wide range of 2-5* hotels (including international chain of hotels, such as Marriott, Sol Melia, Novotel, Intercontinental, etc.).
