Tunisian Minister of Tourism: we have been waiting for Russian tourists since July
Tunisia will be ready to host foreign tourists, including Russian, from the end of June. This date was announced by the Minister of Tourism of Tunisia, Mohamed al-Tumi. At the same time, the Ministry introduced “the Ready and Safe label” for hotels and tourist facilities, which must receive it to resume operation.
It is planned that hotels will start operating since June 4 - for receiving domestic tourists, as well as for actively preparing for the reception of foreign tourists according to the new rules. “The Ready and Safe label” will be mandatory for all participants of the tourism market. In order to get this label, it is imperative to apply internal sanitary protocols that comply with the WHO recommendations,” the Moscow office of the National Tourism Office of Tunisia informed.
These innovations should monitor the safety of resorts from the coronavirus and ensure the safe holiday for tourists. The details on sanitary protocols should appear in the coming days.
The second question is how soon Russian tourists will be on the Tunisian beaches. While Tunisian authorities guarantee coronavirus security and wait for tourists, Russian officials “scare” the tourists by the foreign coronavirus and keep closed borders.
