In 2019, foreign tourist flow to Tunisia broke all records - about 9,5 million travelers visited the country, which is 13,6% more than in 2018. At the same time, Russians spent the most nights in hotels in the country, although in terms of the number of visits to Tunisia they were in second place. This was reported in the Office of Tourism of the Republic in Moscow.
“In general, 2019 was a successful year for the tourism industry of Tunisia. If in 2018 599 thousand guests from Russia had a holiday here, then in 2019 their number was already 633 000 - an increase is of almost 6%. Against this background, tour operators have already informed us about the expansion of flight programs. Of course, such growth is also due to the tour operators who promote and develop our destination in the Russian market,” said Neji Guider, head of the Tunisian National Representative Office for Tourism in Russia and the CIS.
Thus, the press service of Intourist emphasized that demand for destinations in the company has already increased by 45% compared with last year. By the way, this season NTK Intourist will fly to Tunisia on the blocks of two airlines of this country - Tunisian Airlines and Nouvelle Air. Departures will be from Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Anex Tour press service noted that in the upcoming season, the tour operator’s flight program to Tunisia will be operated from Moscow and 17 Russian regions. Starting April 24, tour operator charters will fly to Enfida daily from Moscow and once every 10/11 days from the regions. From Moscow to Djerba, the flights will be carried out 5 times a week from April 26 and once every 10/11 days from Yekaterinburg, Samara, Kazan and St. Petersburg.
“The discounts within early booking program currently reach 30% and will be valid until April 30,” the company emphasized.
In turn, Tui Russia underlined that its own charter program from Moscow to the island of Djerba is the main premiere of the upcoming season.
So, from April 24 to October 25, the own charter program of the tour operator on the Moscow-Djerba route will be carried out by Ural Airlines twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays. In addition, on April 25, its own charter chain starts from Moscow to Enfida. It will last until May 20. The flights will be operated on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The company will also have blocks of seats on Azur Air flights from Moscow to Enfida.
