Russian tourists fall in love with Tunisia
The demand for holidays in Tunisia among organized Russian tourists increased in 2019, and for some travel agencies, the destination accounts up to 20% of total sales, as reported the representatives of travel agencies.
“Tunisia always is sells well, this is an inexpensive destination, even compared to Turkey. In addition, the price-quality ratio is very good. This year, the share of sales of the destination ranged from 15 to 20%. The largest number of tours was booked in the first half of the summer and from October until the beginning of November," the representative of the travel agency Infotour informed.
Tunisia is a very stable destination. According to the Coral Travel Elite travel agency, early booking of Tunisia for 2020 is already opened. “The share of sales of tours to Tunisia in the past year amounted to 10-15% of the total number of bookings, and sales next year started well. Tunisia is cheaper than Turkey, while the country is trying to maintain a high level of service. Tours are sold at an affordable price, and for this price you get a hotel on AI with a large territory,” said the company representative.
As Coral Travel reported, charter flights depart to Tunisia from Moscow and another 18 cities. “The tours, based on these flights, are arranged to the most popular resorts of the country - Monastir, Hammamet, Sousse, Mahidia, as well as to the island of Djerba, where higher-class hotels are located. In the summer season, the flight program to the mainland is carried out daily and five times a week to the island Djerba," the representative of the tour operator said during the presentation.
The expert noted that Tunisia also attracts Russian tourists by extensive excursion program with visits to ancient cities. According to Coral Travel, Russian tourists most often book 3-4* hotels for 7-10 days.
