Tours to Albania have became cheaper
The current minimum cost of tour packages to Albania for summer dates starts from 78 thousand Rubles (1,046 Euros) for two persons for a nine nights stay in a 3* hotel at Saranda resort with departure from Moscow on 18 June. Just in the third decade of January, tariffs for summer trips to Albania started from 84 thousand Rubles (1,126 Euros) for two.
Thus, the tours have become more affordable. Meanwhile, their price still exceeds the minimum level acceptable for travelers. Recall, according to the results of the January survey, 40% of respondents reported that they will go to Albanian resorts in the summer of 2019, if the cost of the rest is 60 thousand Rubles for two persons, and another 31% - if the trip is cheaper than for Turkey.
Last summer TUI Russia tour operator intended to launch a charter chain from Moscow to Albania. However, initially the program was cut to three flights, and shortly before the start it was completely cancelled. The tour operator then explained this decision by the refusal of air transportation partners - Space Travel and Intourist - to jointly load the boards.
For the upcoming summer season, TUI again announced eight charter flights on the wings of Ural Airlines from the Russian capital to Tirana. This time the program is without the participation of other tour operators. The press service of the company noted an increase in demand on the destination during early booking, especially from the second half of February, as well as a good depth of sales - until August.
A top manager of one of the tour operators, implementing tours to Albania based on regular air transportation, also noted an increase in travelers' interest for summer trips - by about 15% compared with the beginning of March last year. As for the price of the tours, according to the expert, it will depend mainly on the fares of the airlines. If closer to the beginning of summer the carriers experience underloading of the flights, the special offers may be issued - it will also reduce the cost of tour packages.
Noteworthy that the period of visa-free trips of Russian citizens to Albanian resorts will last this year from April 1 to October 31. The corresponding decision was made recently by the Council of Ministers of Albania.
