Tourists' flow from Russia to Estonia in June fell by more than 30%
The number of Russian tourists to Estonia in June 2015 decreased by 30.9%, or by 6,914 people, the Department of Statistics of Estonia said on Monday. This is the largest decline in comparison with other countries. The number of tourists from Russia was steadily declining during all months of the first half of the year compared to the same period of the last year. Less tourists came to Estonia also from the following countries: Finland, Germany, Lithuania and Sweden. Meanwhile the number of tourists from from Latvia and Great Britain increased. In June, there were 323.5 thousand overnights in Estonia by local and international tourists, which is an increase by 4% compared to June of the last year. Occupancy rate was 47%. An average price of accommodation in Estonia was the same as the last year, 34 euro per night. In previous months the trend was the same, the number of international tourists in Estonia decreased, the number of locat tourists increased.
