Tourist flow from Russia to Dubai increased by 47% in the first half of 2022

Compared to the first half of 2021, the tourist flow to Dubai from the Russian Federation increased by 47% and amounted to 309 thousand people. Russia entered the TOP-5 source markets and overtook the USA, France and Germany in terms of the number of tourists in Dubai.

According to the Department of Economy and Tourism of Dubai, in the first place in the first half of 2022 is India (858 thousand arrivals, + 109% compared to the same period in 2021).

On the second and third lines are tourists from neighboring Arab countries: Oman (787 thousand, + 1 343%) and Saudi Arabia (543 thousand, + 314%). In the fourth place is Great Britain (506 thousand, + 782%).

In terms of the number of tourists in the UAE, Russia has overtaken countries such as the USA, France, Germany, Pakistan and Iran.

The average daily spending of a tourist in Dubai in January-June 2022 increased by 50% and amounted to 151 Euros (in the first half of 2021 this figure was 101,7 Euros). The average duration of the trip is 7 nights.
