Thai players do not agree with official statistics of decreasing tourist flow from Russia

Thai players do not agree with statistics, according to which the number of tourists traveling to Thailand is declining. In particular, basing on the estimates of the Thai tourism office, in the first six months of this year, the number of tourists from Russia decreased by 3%, but the Kingdom hopes to host 1,5 million people, as last years. 

The tour operator Biblio-Globus reported that they did not notice a decrease in the tourist flow - the demand for tours to Thailand remains at the same level as last year, no flight program adjustments are expected.  According to Svetlana Baranova, the PR director of the tour operator Tez Tour, the number of bookings of tours in the upcoming winter season is already 20% higher than in the same period of the last year. 

Experts also add that, on contrary to the assumption of low financial solvency of Russian tourists, they often chose the most expensive hotels, such as Avista Grande Phuket Karon 5*, Novotel Phuket Kata Avista 5* and Royal Cliff Hotels Group 5*. At the same time, experts do not deny the rise in price of tours in connection with the continued growth of the currency rate of the Thai baht.
