Tour operators have noticed an increase of tourist interest for holidays in Tunisia
Tour operators report an increase of demand for holidays in Tunisia after the release of information about the abolition of covid restrictions on entry, said Irina Tyurina, spokeswoman of the Russian Union of Tourism Industry.
"NouvelAir airline has resumed direct flights to Tunisia back in August, but tour operators report that they have felt a real surge of demand only now. New Year's tours are also popular, the prices for which, thanks to the reasonable cost of air tickets and accommodation, are quite affordable. So, packages with accommodation on resorts of Mahdia, Monastir, Sousse, Hammamet with a departure on December 28 and January 4 for 6 or 9 nights will cost from $ 960 for two persons," she said.
From mid-August 2022, Nouvelair resumed the flight program from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Monastir and flew twice a week until the end of November. From December 7, the airline resumed flights to Monastir, as well as to the island of Djerba, a popular beach destination before the pandemic.
According to tour operators, Tunisian hoteliers did not increase the cost of accommodation, as the Russian market is very important for them.
From the beginning of December, the Tunisian authorities announced the lifting of all restrictions on the entry for foreign tourists related to the coronavirus pandemic.
