Russian tourists are going for vacation to Italy
Tour operator Pac Group, a leading player in the Italian market, reports a significant surge in bookings of tours to Italy, which has been recorded since mid-April.
There are no direct flights from Russia to Italy due to the mutual closure of airspace, but there is no ban for Russian citizens on tourist trips to Italy either from the Italian side or from the Russian side, so tourists can buy tickets with flights, connecting in the third countries.
Pac Group offers tourists travel packages on flights of foreign airlines with a connection in Belgrade, Istanbul or Dubai.
“Russians are now booking tours to Italy mainly for May and June. The lion's share of our bookings now is city tours to popular Italian cities - Rome, Venice, Florence and Verona. Then, in popularity, are seaside holidays (Rimini, Sicily, Sardinia).
The average duration of an excursion tour is 3-7 nights, the duration of a holiday at sea and the thermal resorts is 7-14 nights,” Pac Group experts said.
The average cost of a tour of the tour operator with a flight and accommodation at a good hotel in Sicily (Una Hotels Naxos Beach Sicilia 4*, HB) at the peak of the season (departure on June 29 for 7 nights) is 3 740 Euros for a family of two adults and one child.
Tour operator specialists say that this year the vast majority of tourists choose 4-5* hotels in Italy.
