Russia resumes direct flights to Tunisian resorts
Direct flights to Tunisia from Moscow and St. Petersburg to be resumed in August. According to Vnukovo airport, from August 19, the Tunisian airline Nouvelair resumes flights to Monastir. The flights will be operated twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Two days earlier, from August 17, Nouvelair should start flights to Monastir from St. Petersburg. Until the end of August, two flights will take place and since September two flights a week are planned. The flights are announced until the end of September.
The consolidator of flights in Russia is the Tunisian tourist industry: in Moscow it is the tour operator Grand Express and in St. Petersburg - Express Tour.
According to experts, it is possible that federal tour operators will also take blocks of seats on Nouvelair flights. At least, one of them is already considering such plans. “Everything will depend on the cost of the seats,” says a representative of one of the tour operators.
In any case, representatives of the tourism industry note the importance of resuming direct flights to Tunisia. In their opinion, this gives hope for the resumption of regular and charter flights to the resorts of this North African country next spring.
