Tour operators estimate the demand for winter Turkey
In the winter season 2018–2019 Turkey will set a record of transportation on the Russian market, and tours can now be bought with discounts up to 50%.
The market participants say that the growth of transportation’s volumes in the winter period is connected with the high demand of Turkish product in the autumn-winter period.
“The demand is good, now the New Year's dates are actively booked - both hotels on the Antalya coast and skiing in Turkey,” said Marina Makarkova, the head of the public relations department of Coral Travel tour operator.
In the top demand of Russian tourists for the winter period on the Turkish direction are the tours lasting 9-11 nights and 7 nights for the New Year's dates. In the priority are the hotels 4* –5* on AI base.
According to ANEX Tour, currently for the winter season more tours have already been booked than were sold last year. The depth of sales in the winter season is on average 44 days, for the New Year's dates - 107 days. The sales depth of Intourist reaches January, PEGAS Touristik - until mid-March 2019, Biblio-Globus - until February 2019.
Intourist and Biblio-Globus also note a good demand for tours to Istanbul in the autumn-winter period.
Currently, the tours to Turkey for the winter period can be booked with substantial benefits, using either the early booking offer or seasonal discounts of hotels that reach 40–50%.
“The early booking program for winter Turkey is active, discounts reach up to 50%. Different hotels have different periods of discounts, on average, this is until the end of November,” said Marina Makarkova from Coral Travel.
According to Lilia Parfenova from PEGAS Touristik, accommodation discounts range from 10 to 50%, depending on the hotel. "The terms of promotions for different hotels are different, some hotels offer discounts until the end of October, but there are hotels with early booking dates before the end of November and even the end of December 2018," she stresses.
