The tourists flow from Russia to France in 2017 increased by 30%

“The tourist flow to France from Russia has increased by 30% since the beginning of 2017”, - said the Head of the representative office of French Agency for the development of tourism in Russia (Atout France) I. Korotkova. "Russian tourists are on increasingly important place in the structure of the tourist flow, 600 thousand Russian tourists we hosted in 2016. And now, in 2017, we see the growth by 30%", - she said. She noted that France is now actively attracting Russian tourists to the theme of crafts - they may visit a variety of industries, such as Airbus plants in Toulouse or biscuit factories in Brittany. France is the most popular country among tourists in the world. In 2016, the country hosted 83 million foreign tourists (a decrease by 2.3%). This year the country's authorities expect 6.5% growth. Thus, in 2017, France can be visited by 88-89 million foreign tourists.
