“Russia entered into the TOP-5 of the main incoming markets for Czech Republic with the fourth position. According to the rate of annual growth of the tourist flow, the country is on the second line”, - these are the data of the Central Statistical Office of Czech Republic (ČSÚ). Germany remains as the main incoming market for Czech Republic (1.95 million tourists, an increase of 3.9% against 2016). On the second line is Slovakia with 688.5 thousand tourists (+7.2%), on the third - Poland (578.5 thousand people, + 6.9%). Russia is on the fourth line in the TOP-5 - 551.19 thousand tourists, which is 35.3% more than in 2016. On the fifth place is China - 491, 65 thousand tourists from this country visited Czech Republic in 2017, which is 38.2% more than in the previous year. The growth of the Chinese tourist flow is connected with the increase of the number of direct flights to Czech Republic from PRC. As for the results of the fourth quarter of 2017, ČSÚ statistics show a slightly different order of countries in the TOP-5 than for the whole year. The first place in October-December is still for Germany (an increase of 3.5%), on the second - Slovakia (an increase of 9.1%), but Russia now is on the third place (instead the fourth) with 23% of growth. On the fourth and fifth places are China and South Korea.
