The number of Russians visiting Georgia for 10 months increased by 13%

“In January - October 2016 Georgia was visited by 920 200 citizens of Russia, which is 13.4% more than in the same period of the last year”, - said in the information-analytical department of the Interior Ministry on Wednesday. In October 2016, in comparison with October of the previous year, the number of Russian citizens' visits increased by 13% - up to 88.2 thousand people. In the second month of autumn Russians are 16.7% among of all foreigners visitors, breaking the record for the last 10 years. “By the number of people who visited Georgia for 10 months of this year, Russia is the fourth best after Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey”, - the report said. According to the Interior Ministry, in January - October 2016, Georgia was visited by 5 million 406.2 thousand foreigners, which is 8.1% more than in January - October 2015. Among them 2 million 372.4 thousand people were tourists (19.7% growth).
