The number of Russian tourists in Antalya has grown by 70%
The Turkish Antalya summed up the results of foreign tourist flow for the first two months of 2018. In absolute numbers of arrivals the German tourists are ahead of the Russian ones, however, the growth rates of the Russian market are almost 3 times higher. According to the administration of Antalya, for two months the resort was visited by more than 169 thousand foreign tourists, which by almost 29% exceeded the data for the same period of 2017. Thus, according to this indicator, Antalya reached the level of 2015, which is considered to be successful in Turkey. In total, taking into account domestic tourist flow, Antalya in January-February hosted more than 211 thousand tourists (21% of the level of 2017). During the first two months of 2018, Antalya hosted 58,000 tourists from Germany (+ 25% against the same period of 2017). Thus, the total share of the German market in incoming flow to Antalya is 27.9%. On the second line with an amount of 41.4 thousand tourists is the Russian market, which grew by 70% in comparison with the results for the same period of 2017. The total share of Russia in incoming traffic is 19.8%. On the third line is Israel (10 thousand tourists, + 19% to the level of 2017). As it was previously reported, the Turkish resort plans to host about 12-13 million foreign tourists in 2018.
