The flow of Russian tourists to Spain increased by 7% in January

“In January 2017 Spain was visited by 63,6 thousand Russian tourists, which is 6.8% more than in the same period of the last year”, - according to the data of the National Statistics Institute (INE) of the country. The total number of visitors in the first month of 2017 was 3.9 million, which is 3.5% more, than in January 2016. Traditionally, most travelers came to Spain from the UK (796.2 thousand), Germany (485.4 thousand) and France (469.8 thousand). In January, most tourists for holidays in Spain choose the Canary Islands (1.2 million), Catalonia (850.5 thousand) and Andalusia (521 thousand). In 2016, 75.6 million tourists visited Spain, including a little more than 1 million Russians. According to the Russian tour operators, in 2017 the number of tourists from Russia to Spain will grow. As reported, the sales volume of the program of early booking has exceeded the indicators of the last year.
