Tours to Thailand on the first flights are sold at the cost of air tickets
Some tours from Moscow to Thailand on the first flights of the winter flight schedule of tour operators are sold at the cost of air tickets. So, a 10-day tour in Phuket with departure from the Russian capital on October 30 will cost 49 000 Rubles (692 Euros) for two persons. For the same price you can book a 12-day tour package to Pattaya with a flight from Moscow to Bangkok on October 31. However, market participants note that only a small part of the tours to the most unpopular hotels are sold at such low prices - tour operators now sell the rest of seats on their first flights. In general, the dynamics of loading of the boards for the first half of the winter season is now even higher than in the same period a year earlier.
According to Biblio-Globus, taking into account the positive results of sales, the tour operator considers the possibility of expanding of flight programs from Moscow to Thailand. From the New Year, the company plans to add two weekly frequencies to the current five to Phuket and two to Bangkok. Anex Tour announced in early October that Boeing 777-300ERs will fly from Thailand to the Russian capital.
But this year Tez Tour has preferred blocks of seats on regular flights for its Moscow-Phuket flight program. “We see a great demand among clients for GDS tours to Thailand, the demand for such a product is three times higher than last year's figures,” the press service explained the strategy of the tour operator. In the 2018/2019 season, Tez and Tui Russia jointly sold the seats of iFly boards from the Russian capital to Phuket. This season, only Tui will perform this program with the same frequency (twice a week).
Aeroflot also continues to increase the intensity of flights to Thailand. In the winter schedule 2019/2020, 15 flights from Moscow to Phuket were announced, instead of last year's 10 flights a week.
