Thailand started issuing tourist visas to Russians
Tourists from Russia can now come to Thailand not only with the purpose of treatment, but also for recreation. From the beginning of November, you can get a special tourist visa for a period of 60 days with the possibility of extending for another 30 days.
Konstantin Kinel, head of the TAT marketing service in Russia, confirmed the information that a new type of tourist visa is available to Russians. “It is very difficult to obtain such a visa, but it is possible. It will take about 14 days to get this type of visa,” said Mr. Kinel.
Tour operators said that it would most likely fail to attract a significant flow of tourists to Thailand from Russia within the framework of the new visa model. First of all, because obtaining of new visa requires financial support in the amount of 14 500 Euros and, in addition, no one has canceled a 14-day quarantine for such tourists. These conditions are not suitable for mass tourists who have an average a 10-12 days holiday in Thailand and spend there about 1 300 Euros for a tour.
