ITB Asia, ‘Asia’s Leading Travel Trade Show’, is set to deliver another year of thought-provoking and inspiring content to industry practitioners as part of its conference programme. Themed ‘Bold Thoughts, Bold Moves’, the conference will bring together thought leaders from across the MICE, Leisure, Corporate, and Travel Tech sectors for high-level discussions on the trends that are galvanising change in the travel industry.

ITB Asia, ‘Asia’s Leading Travel Trade Show’, has introduced a new Buyers Elite Partner Programme (BEPP). Under the new initiative, with every partner that recommends 15 successful buyers to attend the show, ITB Asia will provide complimentary hosting.

ITB Asia is back and with four months to go before it opens its doors on 16 October 2019, it is already attracting unprecedented exhibition demand from National Tourism Organisations (NTOs) and Regional Tourism Organisations (RTOs).

Vietnam Airlines will move its Moscow operations from Domodedovo to Sheremetyevo airport starting July 2, Asia Travel Tips informs.  The move to Sheremetyevo International Airport will facilitate Vietnam Airlines’ cooperation and partnership with Russia’s major carrier Aeroflot, as the two airlines target to begin codesharing on domestic routes in Vietnam and Russia, and expand their cooperation across several areas of the business. The airline will move its entire operations without any interruption to flights. 

Tour operator Intourist began selling package tours to the Iranian destination. They offer several excursion tours on the basis of regular transportation with departure from Moscow. According to ATOR, a little later, excursion tours for regional cities will also be on sale. At the moment, Iran is not considered as a very popular destination in the world.

On the eve of international day of tourism, on September 26, tourist exhibition Astana Leisure 2018 will be opened in "Korme" Exhibition Center in Astana. Special attention will be paid to two top directions - medical tourism and spa treatment. 

By 2020, it is expected that there will be 156 million Muslim travellers, growing nearly 30% since 2016.[1] By 2026, the estimated total purchase by Muslim travellers is expected to rise to US$ 300 billion[2], which is more than double in volume over a decade. Muslim travel is thus an important focus for ITB Asia this year as key players in the travel and tourism space are demanding insights and best practice in marketing destinations, and how to better connect with Muslim travellers.

ITB Asia, ‘Asia’s Leading Travel Trade Show’ is already exceeding expectations on exhibitor numbers, recording a 20.8% increase in new exhibitors signing up for the show, versus the same period last year. This comes after the enormous success of last year’s 10th anniversary show which saw record-breaking numbers with 113 countries exhibiting at the event.

“New possibilities of development of tourism between Russia and Kazakhstan were discussed in Astana at the forum of interregional cooperation of the two countries with the participation of heads of state”, - said the press service of the Federal Tourism Agency on Wednesday.
