Intourist has launched the sale of package tours to Iran
Tour operator Intourist began selling package tours to the Iranian destination. They offer several excursion tours on the basis of regular transportation with departure from Moscow. According to ATOR, a little later, excursion tours for regional cities will also be on sale. At the moment, Iran is not considered as a very popular destination in the world. But in Iran there are a large number of different attractions, monuments, it has quite an interesting history. Iran is on the 3rd line in the UNESCO World Heritage List. According to the executive director of Intourist Sergey Tolchin, flights from Moscow to Tehran will be operated daily. “All programs on Iran are relevant when booking from one person. In the near future we plan to put on sale excursion tours with connecting flights in Moscow from regional cities, such as St. Petersburg, Kazan and Ufa. In addition to package tours with air transportation, we can book ground service”, he said. The tour operator notes that the flight to Tehran will be interesting for those tourists who like to learn something new and unusual, as well as those who are interested in history and culture. At the moment, a visa is required to enter Iran, but Moscow and Tehran are discussing the abolition of the visa regime. Preparation of rules and regulations may take about two months. The executive director also notes that in order to promote the tourism industry of Iran, it is planned to use traditional tour operator’s tools: newsletters, seminars, webinars.
