On the eve of international day of tourism, on September 26, tourist exhibition Astana Leisure 2018 will be opened in "Korme" Exhibition Center in Astana. Special attention will be paid to two top directions - medical tourism and spa treatment.
According to Republican Center for Health Development, the number of foreign tourists receiving medical services in Kazakhstan is increasing annually. So, at least 20 thousand tourists a year come to Kazakhstan. Among them, citizens of England, the United States, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria, Turkey and other countries.
Today in Kazakhstan there are 19 resort zones with different climatic characteristics, which number at least 200 sanatoriums and health and recreation resorts. According to the National Spa Association in 2017, more than 1500 foreign tourists visited sanatoriums of the Republic.
In this regard, Astana Leisure 2018 will be an international platform for dialogue and exchange of experience of representatives of sanatorium and resort industry and participants in tourism business. During the exhibition, clinics, medical centers and specialized tour operators from Vietnam, Georgia, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and South Korea will have an opportunity to present their services and developments in the field of medical and health tourism. For the convenience of participants and visitors, organizers of the exhibition provided a special venue for meetings and negotiations with embassies and consulates.
The keynote of Astana Leisure 2018 exhibition will be reflected not only in exposition at the stands of participants, but also in business program of the exhibition. Issues and trends in development of medical tourism will be discussed by participating companies during three days of the exhibition.
Moreover, organizers of the exhibition together with the magazine SomePlace.kz will hold a forum of travelers - Astana Travel Day, in which round-the-world travelers and experts in the field of tourism will share their experience and impressions with travelers-beginners.
Also visitors of Astana Leisure 2018 for the first time will be presented tourist maps of the Northern Aral Sea and Karkaraly mountains - the fruit of the project "Cartography as an instrument for ecotourism development in Kazakhstan" implemented by Historical and Geographical Society "Avalon" with support of the US Embassy.
Regional Tourism Administrations of Kazakhstan will traditionally present up-to-date information on the possibilities of the regions of the Republic and present a new 17th region - Turkestan region. In turn, representatives of Zhambyl region will hold a drawing of lottery at their stand.
One of the brightest representatives of medical tourism will take part in the exhibition for the first time - Georgian company EVEX Medical Corporation, which has 78 clinics in six regions of Georgia.
Organizers of AstanaLeisure 2018 are exhibition companies ITE Group (Great Britain) and Iteca (Kazakhstan). Official support is - World Tourism Organization (WTO), Astana City Akimat, Kazakhstan Tourist Association (KTA) and Capital Tourism Association (CAT).
