South Korean flag carrier canceled five direct services between Vladivostok and Seoul. Korean air was offering seven weekly flights between two cities. However, the airline decided to cancel five of them during the peak tourist season due to a drop in passenger traffic from both Russian and Korean sides. Since the introduction of visa-free regime between Russia and South Korea in early 2014, Primorye residents started to travel to Korea more frequently. However more and more people have been refusing to visit Korea due to MERS outbreak. According to Korean Tourist Organization, more than 95 thousand foreign visitors have already canceled their trips to the country.

Korean Air completed the first flight from Seoul to Irkutsk on long-haul aircraft Airbus A330-200, according to the press service of Irkutsk airport. The aircraft was served at the Irkutsk airport and flew back to Seoul around 2:00 local time.

From July 1, Korean Air airline, a member of SkyTeam Alliance, started operating flights Seoul - Moscow - Seoul daily basis, the regional director of Korean Air in Russia and the CIS Dream Song Hwee said to Interfax. The schedule of flights KE923 / 924 remained unchanged. Planes depart from Seoul at 13:35 and arrive to Sheremetyevo at 16:50. The return flight departs from Moscow at 18:55, arriving in Seoul at 8:55 am (local time).
