Russian tourists have become more likely to choose hotels with the themed concept of family or youth holidays, interest in them more than doubles every year, according to Tatyana Akbash, Tui Russia marketing director.
“Hotels with the concept of family and youth holidays are becoming more and more popular from year to year. If in 2016 22,8 thousand Russians had a holiday there, then this year - already 137 thousand. In 2020 we plan to send 370 thousand tourists to such hotels," she said at a meeting with reporters.
According to Akbash, the share of travelers, choosing themed hotels, in the company is 6-7% (there are 29 such hotels now), and in 2020 their number will grow to 15%. We are talking about hotels that work in framework of the concepts FUN & SUN (family vacations), DAY & NIGHT Connected (youth holidays) and SMART (eco-friendly vacations in 4* hotels).
"The most popular concept is, of course, family holidays, because 62% of our customers are families with children. The features of FUN & SUN hotels are in the presence of Tukan children's clubs with animators, who work 12 hours without a break. Also, the hotels have 24-hour rooms for mothers with washing machines and other necessities, and children's restaurants. In 2020, 25 hotels will operate in Turkey, Montenegro, Greece, Italy and Spain, according to the concept," said Akbash.
Tourists who are interested in nightlife pay attention to DAY & NIGHT Connected hotels. "The feature of these hotels is the ability to visit nightclubs outside the hotels. At the same time, some young travelers come to us with their children and we provide a children's room for them," stressed Akbash.
In 2020, for the first time the company will present SMART-based hotels. “This is a concept for “thinking” tourists - those who want to get acquainted with local cuisine and take care of nature. At SMART hotels, guests can enjoy dishes from local farm products." explained Akbash.
According to her, in the summer of 2020, eight hotels operating on the SMART concept will be available to guests.
