Russian tourists are on the second place in Czech Republic
Today, Russia is the second country by the number of arrivals of foreign tourists to the country and number 1 among the "distant" markets. This was reported to Mrs. Alena Kudilkova the Head of the Russian representative office of the National Tourist Board of Czech Republic (CzechTourism). According to the results of the State Statistics Service of Czech Republic, for the first quarter of this year Russia is on the second line in the list of incoming tourist to Czech Republic after Germany. According to CzechTourism, for the first quarter of 2017 the growth of the tourist flow from Russia amounted 45% against the same period of. Ms. Kudilkova stressed that no less than 80% of the Russian tourist flow to Czech Republic is provided by Russian tour operators. It is noted in CzechTourism that among this category of tourists there is a growing interest to "the other Czech Republic" - in particular, excursions and tours to the regions. The regions which recently became popular among Russian tourists are Central and South Moravia (Brno, Mikulov, Olomouc, Lednice, Znojmo and other towns).
