Russian tourists are interested in winter holidays in Qatar

Market participants note a significant increase in bookings of Qatar for November dates and New Year holidays. Most of all tourists are interested in a quality beach vacation in this country. On average, in the autumn a tour for two persons costs from 80 thousand Rubles (1 125 Euros), for the New Year holiday - from 110 thousand Rubles (1 547 Euros). 
Thus, Ics Travel Group experts estimate an increase in the number of requests by 60% in annual terms, Pax representatives say about 35% increase in bookings for New Year's arrivals, and also note an increase in the depth of sales until April 2020. Specialists of the tour operator Intourist also observe an increase in demand: most of the requests at the moment are for November holidays. 
Nevertheless, as it is noted by experts of the tour operator Russian Express, despite the increase in demand and the growth in the number of requests, Qatar as a destination is on the stage of developing. “It's too early to talk about a stable flow,” experts say. 
According to tour operators, in the top requests for Qatar are beach tours, lasting most often 7-8 days. 
According to the representatives of Intourist, there are frequent cases of booking only ground-based services. Combined package tours with flights to Sri Lanka are also in demand. ICS Travel Group experts also talk about the interest in combined tours: for example, tourists travel to Bali and book 1-2 nights in Qatar. 
However, in addition to the informational background, the transportation factor is also important for the competitive price of tours to Qatar, experts say. According to Arthur Muradyan, the general director of the tour operator Space Travel, if there was more direct transportation in the destination, the market would benefit. 
Intourist offers a November holidays’ tour for 3 nights for 36 568 Rubles (514 Euros) per person in a 4* hotel. A tour for the New Year will cost from 55 468 Rubles (780 Euros) for 5 nights per person.
