Russian tourist flow to Estonia increased by 17% in November
The number of tourists from Russia to Estonia increased compared to November 2015 by 17%. According to information of the Department of Statistics, released on Monday, the proportion of Russians among the tourists accounted 13%, they are on the second place among the total number of foreigners visiting the country. On the first place there were Finns - 49%, the third - the Latvians (9%). Most often, the tourists stayed in Tallinn (77%), Parnu (7%), Tartu (5%) and on the north-east of the country (3%). The cost of an overnight stay in a hotel was 36 Euros on the average, it has not changed in comparison with the previous year's November. Despite the fact that the results of December are not yet announced, the media noted the increase of the number of Russian tourists in this month and at the beginning of January. Thus, according to the ERR broadcasting portal, at the "Narva-1" border crossing the number of passenger cars, crossing the border during the holidays, achieved 1.3 thousand, while on the other days 500-600 vehicles were crossing border per day.
