Russia returned in the top of the German incoming markets
As a result of the first 9 months of 2017, the Russian tourist flow to Germany increased by 21%. According to the National Tourist Office of Germany in Russia, the analysis of the key supplier markets showed the most positive dynamics of the number of tourists in January-September from Russia. According to the German side, during the reporting period the Russians spent more than 1.3 million nights in German hotels (19.8% of the total number of nights of foreign tourists in accommodation facilities). The most popular cities for Russian tourists are Berlin, Munich and Dusseldorf. The top most visited lands includes Bavaria, Berlin, North Rhine-Westphalia. Russian tour operators confirm the growing demand for tours to Germany, including such traditional kinds of tourism as business and recreational. "Germany was and remains the country "number one" for business tourism. The exhibitions in Hanover, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt are still in demand", - says Marina Kuvardina, the Head of Germany direction of PAC GROUP. According to her, today Bavaria remains the most popular region among the company's clients, but there is also a growing interest to Northern Germany, in particular, to Hamburg and other Hanseatic cities. Renat Bedderdinov, manager of the European department of Vedi Turgrupp tour operator, estimated the increase of the number of bookings in Germany direction by 20-30% against the previous year. "As usual, in the top requests of the region are Bavaria and wellness trips to Baden-Baden and Bad Kissingen", - he says.
