Russia confirmed 8 915 new coronavirus infections Tuesday, bringing the country’s official number of cases to 362 342.
About 50% of Russians have abandoned their vacation plans due to the coronavirus, the Romir research agency said. The previous day, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that Russians should avoid traveling abroad this summer.
- President Vladimir Putin warned Friday that a second wave of the coronavirus epidemic could hit Russia this autumn as he noted that the country’s current outbreak is stabilizing.
