RST: Russian tourists are returning to Latin America
“Tour operators note the return of interest among Russians to travel to Latin America”, - told to the portal "Interfax-Tourism" the press secretary of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RST) Irina Turina.
"Sales of tours to Latin America for the New Year holidays were on the level of the same period of the last year, with no significant fluctuations in demand. Operators say about little more increased sales of depth against the general revival of interest to this destination", - added Irina Turina.
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Central America are in increased demand.
According to the tour operators, air carriers are constantly release special offers: so, the ticket to Rio de Janeiro or Lima may be cost 50-55 thousand rubles. The spring and autumn tours 2016 were sold about 10% better than in the same period of 2015 and now the direction is in great demand, than a year ago.
The statistical data of Russians traveling to the Latin American countries are different, but we can talk, that the region host annually several tens thousands of Russian tourists.
