Royal Flight airline began flights to Zanzibar Island
The first charter flight of Royal Flight after the resumption of air traffic has landed on Zanzibar Island in Tanzania. There were almost 500 tourists on the board, as press service of the tour operator Coral Travel reports.
"On October 30, the first charter flight of Royal Flight from Moscow landed on the island of Zanzibar. There were 490 people on the board. From now on, the flights will be operated once every 10 days. Travel time is about 9 hours. The customer of the charter program is Coral Travel,” said Marina Makarkova, the head of the public relations department of the tour operator.
She noted that from November the Royal Flight's geography to Zanzibar will be expanded, and the program will become the most extensive in the regional market.
So, in addition to Moscow, residents of seven more cities will be able to fly to the island by charter flights. The flights are scheduled from Rostov-on-Don (from 9 November), Novosibirsk and Ufa (from 14 November), Kazan (from 11 November), St. Petersburg (from 7 November), Samara (from 17 November) and Krasnoyarsk (from 16 November). The frequency of all programs is once each 10 day.
Tourists in Zanzibar can stay at both budget and expensive 5* hotels. The cost of the tour for one person at a 3* hotel, BB, with departure from Moscow is from 568 Euros and the minimum price from Rostov-on-Don is 664 Euros.
Russia resumed flights to Tanzania on August 1. However, the airlines started flights there only in October, as this route is not in demand in the summer season.
