Qatar returns Russia to the green list of countries
The Ministry of Health of Qatar has updated the list of countries by the level of risk of COVID-19. Russia returned to the green list since December 1. This means that quarantine upon arrival for Russian tourists will no longer be required.
Since December 1, 177 countries have been included in the green list, 19 countries so far are in the “red” list. The update came into force from Wednesday December 1, 2021 at 18:00.
Thus, starting from the specified time, upon arrival in Qatar Russian tourists have not to go through a two-day quarantine and make an additional PCR test.
It is reminded, that to enter Qatar Russians need to present a certificate of vaccination with "Sputnik V" (other Russian vaccines are not recognized), and a PCR test (made no earlier than 72 hours before the trip) with a negative result.
In addition, an antibody test with a positive result is also needed. This test should be done no earlier than 30 days before the trip to Qatar and after at least 14 days from the day of the second dose of vaccination. It is important that tourists need a test for specific antibodies after vaccination (you can take an antibody test after an illness in clinics - it is not suitable).
Those tourists who are fully vaccinated with Sputnik V (2 doses) plus at least one dose of Pfizer or Moderna are exempted from the antibody test. At least, 14 days must elapse after the last vaccination.
Unvaccinated tourists can also come to Qatar. But they need to go through a 7-day quarantine.
