Pegas Touristik direct charters in Koh Samui caused an excitement in the market
The first charter flights of Nordwind airline (strategic partner of Pegas Touristik) from Moscow, Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk to the province of Surat Thani will be performed on December 27-28. From Surat Thani it will be possible to get to the hotels of Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao. The tour operator’s flight program will last until April 22.
The flights of Nordwind will be the first charters from Russia to Samui. Previously, in order to get to the island, tourists had to use connecting flights or make a transfer lasting about 8 hours. Now, such difficulties will not arise. From Surat Thani Airport tourists can reach Samui for 2,5 hours, of which 1,5 hours will take the way from the airport to the ferry.
“This is great news,” travel agents say. They note that Samui has always been interesting to Russian tourists, but due to the complexity of logistics, many of them refused to travel to the island with some of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand.
Travel agents are glad that the situation with the availability of Samui has changed. They also talked how sales of tours to Samui are going on.
A little more than half a month has passed since the tours to Samui lasting 12, 13 or 14 nights became available for booking in the online system of the tour operator, and sales, according to experts, are already impressive.
According to Pegas Touristik, the loading of winter boards to Surat Thani is high from all three departure cities (Moscow, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk). “Until mid-January, the boards are more than 60% loaded. The depth of sales reaches April,” the company noted.
