Oman has changed the entry rules for Russian tourists
Another country has completely lifted covid restrictions. We are talking about Oman, which previously allowed entry only for vaccinated tourists.
Now this Persian Gulf country has removed all entry requirements. Russian tourists can visit the country according to the "docovid" rules.
At the same time, as experts noted, Oman is actively trying to compete for Russian tourists with its neighbors in the Persian Gulf, and primarily with the UAE. For this the country has facilitated entry into its territory.
Local media reports that Oman has completely lifted all restrictions. Tourists can enter the country without any covid documents. Russian tourists will only need a visa, which they can obtain upon arrival. At the same time, Russia and Oman are also negotiating on visa-free regime.
Covid restrictions have also been lifted in the country itself - the mask regime and social distancing requirements have been canceled.
Moreover, Oman plans to restore direct flights to Moscow. We are talking about flights of the carrier Oman Air - the national carrier of the country - to Russia. The launch of the flights is scheduled for the winter season, starting since November.
At the moment, tour operators sell tours on connecting flights, in particular through Bahrain on Gulf Air, through Istanbul on Pegasus Airlines or through the UAE on the carriers from the Emirates. The price of the package tour is 2 360 – 3 455 Euros for one person.
