In Russia, a tour operator specializing in travel for people with disabilities, is established
Specialized tour operator who will organize tours within Russia for disabled travelers, is established with the support of the Federal Tourism Agency, the Head of the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov said.
Tour operator Dostypny Tour (Affordable Tour), whose founder is the non-profit organization International Academy of Accessibility and Universal Design", has already been included in the Federal Registry of Tour Operators.
"The tour operator is just registered. It will specialize in travel within Russia and iin the future will also enter the outgoing market," Oleg Safonov said.
He noted that the disabled travelers count from 8 to 11% of the total tourist flow in the world, and people with disabilities in Russia have almost no opportunity to travel. "Our task is to make possible traveling for people with disabilities," the head of the Federal Tourism Agency said.
Yury Mishchenko, graduated from Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages, has more than 15 years experience in tourism and travel. Working both in tour operator company as destination manager, and in travel agency as sales manager, he is focused on analysis of Russian tour operators’ daily routine. Recently, Yury works in Baginet Marketing and Sales Agency.
