In June, arrivals from Russia to Cyprus fell by almost 25%
In June, Cyprus was visited by 89.8 thousand Russians, which is 24% less than a year earlier, according to data published by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.
The fall in tourist flow from Russia in June was partially compensated by growth in the number of arrivals from the United Kingdom (+ 9%), Sweden (+ 5.5%) and Greece (+ 48.8%). In June 2015, Cyprus was visited by 337 thousand foreign tourists, which is 1.5% less than in June 2014.
From January to June 2015, 1.04 million tourists arrived to Cyprus, which is 5.7% higher than in the same period of the last year (979.8 thousand tourists from January to June 2015).
